The Themes
To help organize the archives that have been researched so far, it was decided to filter these into key themes that have come to light. These themes allow for the archives to turn into concise assets that can relate to each other. A number of the assets also weave between the three themes we have chosen.

Faire Bros, at Alexandra House, are well documented on their contributions to World War II. For they provided troops with vast quantities of supplies and created innovative designs for corsetry when resources were limited. Whilst Charnwood Hosiery Ltd, the last hosiery manufacturer based in Makers' Yard, made supplies for the Falklands War.
The Heritage Cluster's manufacturing industries and their international links.
Alexandra House and Pfister & Vogel have connections all over the globe. Faire Bros had offices and family members in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Whilst Pfister & Vogel opened an office in Leicester to expand beyond their headquarters in Milwaukee, America and archives of their business can also be found in Australia. Leicester and the Heritage Cluster were in the centre of a global industry.
